Isabella Waldron
Isabella Waldron (she/her) is an playwright with a passion for queer and intergenerational stories. Her work explores themes of home (shoutout Oregon), desire, and science often. She believes in stories that hold tenderness at their heart as a radical act.
Her play how to build a wax figure was published with Methuen and sold out a run at the Pleasance in 2022 (ACE-funded). Produced by November Theatre, wax figure fully premiered with Assembly at Edinburgh Fringe to critical acclaim - including 5* reviews, The Stage’s ‘Best Shows of the Edinburgh Fringe’ & shortlisting for the BBC/Popcorn Award.
Her plays have been featured with Nottingham Playhouse, Southwark Theatre, Camden People’s Theatre, Bomb Factory Theatre, Portland Actors’ Conservatory, 24 Hour Plays, The WorkShop Theatre, Omnibus Theatre, The Egg Theatre, Orleans Gallery, Golden Goose Theatre & more. Plays Jawbone, Things I Never Told The Stars & Chatter were selected as semi-finalists for the O’Neill National Playwrights Conference, the Bay Area Playwrights’ Foundation and Papatango Prize.

Isabella is also a proud volunteer with Scene and Heard and is passionate about creating high-quality, engaging theatre for audiences of all ages.
